When we talk about service, the service of humanity stands above all. Our revered Gurus, preachers, and enlightened souls have always guided us to extend compassion and support to our fellow human beings — especially those who are weak, unwell, or suffering emotionally and mentally.
Manukhta Di Sewa Society (MDSS) is a registered non-governmental organization dedicated to serving humanity with compassion, dignity, and selflessness. Founded in 2016 under the guidance of S. Gurpreet Singh (Bhai Gurpreet Singh) in Ludhiana, Punjab, the organization was born out of a simple yet powerful belief - “Manukhta Di Sewa Sab Ton Waddi Sewa” (Service to Humanity is the Greatest Service).
The Society works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and care for abandoned, sick, mentally challenged, and homeless individuals who are often neglected by society. What began as a small act of kindness towards a single ailing person has now evolved into a full-fledged humanitarian movement that restores hope and dignity to hundreds of lives every year.
At its care center, lovingly called “Supneya Da Ghar” (Home of Dreams), MDSS provides shelter, food, clothing, medical care, and emotional support to those in need. The organization also conducts free medical camps, facilitates treatment for the underprivileged, and supports the education of deserving children from economically weaker backgrounds.
Driven by the vision to see a smile on every face, MDSS believes that humanity transcends all boundaries of caste, religion, and status. Its mission is to build a compassionate society where no one is left uncared for - ensuring that every human being is treated with love, respect, and equality.
The impetus came in May 2016, when S. Gurpreet Singh was running a dhaba (roadside eatery) on G.T. Road, Doraha, Ludhiana, and encountered a severely paralyzed person named Arun Kumar Shukla who collapsed near the dhaba.
At Manukhta Di Sewa Society (MDSS), our journey began with a simple yet profound belief — true service lies in serving humanity. Every person in pain, hunger, or despair deserves compassion, dignity, and care.
“Supneya Da Ghar”, is the heart of Manukhta Di Sewa Society. It is a shelter home where abandoned, homeless, sick, and mentally or physically challenged individuals find care, dignity.
