The impetus came in May 2016, when S. Gurpreet Singh was running a dhaba (roadside eatery) on G.T. Road, Doraha, Ludhiana, and encountered a severely paralyzed person named Arun Kumar Shukla who collapsed near the dhaba. Gurpreet, with help, provided basic care (food, clothes, etc.), posted his photos to locate his family. The man’s own family declined to take him back.
From 2016 to 2026, Manukhta Di Sewa Sab Ton Waddi Sewa Society (MDSS) grew from a dedicated local volunteer group into a resilient, multi-program NGO delivering rescue, healthcare support, rehabilitation and community development services.
At Manukhta Di Sewa Society (MDSS), our journey began with a simple yet profound belief — true service lies in serving humanity. Every person in pain, hunger, or despair deserves compassion, dignity, and care.
“Supneya Da Ghar”, is the heart of Manukhta Di Sewa Society. It is a shelter home where abandoned, homeless, sick, and mentally or physically challenged individuals find care, dignity.
