On behalf of the Manukhta Di Sewa family, we extend our heartfelt greetings to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Maghi. On this sacred day of Maghi, early in the morning at 4 a.m., the entire family woke up, prepared themselves after taking the Kesi Ishnaan, and got ready. Our respected elderly fathers adorned beautiful turbans, while mothers, sisters, and children wore new clothes.
Thereafter, the whole family bowed in reverence at the Gurdwara, offered gratitude to Waheguru Ji, and prayed for the good health and well-being of all. The festival of Maghi, which marks the beginning of the month of Magh, reminds us of martyrdom and sacrifice in Sikh history. On this day in 1705, the Forty Liberated Ones (Chali Mukte), under the leadership of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, attained martyrdom while fighting the Mughal forces.
To eternally remember their unwavering devotion and supreme sacrifice, the festival of Maghi is observed. At Supnian De Ghar as well, the entire family gathers at the Gurdwara on this day and offers prayers for the happiness, peace, good health, and ever-rising spirit (Chardi Kala) of the entire congregation.
