By the blessings of Waheguru Ji, Manukhta Di Sewa Society was given the opportunity on 8 January 2026 to extend humanitarian service to Sister Rachna Sharma and her three innocent children—Palvi, Avneet, and Dhavan—from village Meenian in Moga district.
Sister Rachna’s life had turned into unimaginable suffering. An accidental fall led to a leg injury that was left untreated due to extreme poverty and lack of support. Over time, the wound worsened drastically, causing severe infection and decay of her leg. For nearly two months, she remained bedridden, unable to stand or walk. Her condition deteriorated further as her weight increased, making even basic movement impossible.
Due to the absence of proper facilities, she was forced to relieve herself on the bed, which resulted in painful pressure wounds on her back and lower body. Her young daughter, despite her tender age, became the sole caregiver—cleaning wounds, feeding her mother, and managing household responsibilities far beyond her years.
Her husband abandoned the family years ago due to alcoholism, leaving the children and their mother helpless. The elderly mother-in-law, herself frail and unwell, was incapable of providing care. With no support system and no medical assistance, the situation became critical.
Seeing this unbearable suffering, Manukhta Di Sewa Parivar safely brought Sister Rachna and her children to Supnian De Ghar, where she is now receiving proper medical care, hygiene support, and emotional comfort. Her pain during wound care was heartbreaking, reminding us how cruel neglect can be.
We humbly request everyone to pray for her speedy recovery so that she may regain her health, dignity, and the chance to live a peaceful and happy life with her children once again.
